This piece was "inspired" with an interesting background. 'Voodoo King' was a song written by Bill Bourne of the band Tri Continental and performed by he, Lester Quitzau, and Madagascar Slim.

I thought in hearing it for the first time that it was about a train, and was inspired. After completion I found out that in fact it is about the underground railroad of the southern slaves, but that's art for ya.
